Platelet apheresis is carried out using fully automatic machines that separate required components and return the rest to the donor. Running since 1991 near Azad Chowk on G.E. Road in Raipur, this licensed facility was the first in Chhattisgarh to add an authorized apheresis unit. The center uses radiation-sterilised apheresis kits with single-needle operation and manages both open and reserve blood stocks for patients across the state.
