High-resolution HLA typing and cord blood banking are central to the work here in Nungambakkam, Chennai. Established as a public trust in 1995, the centre runs the Be The Cure Registry, which includes an adult stem cell donor registry and a public cord blood bank. Its Jeenomics laboratory is NABL and EFI accredited, using Next Generation Sequencing to process samples for patients, families, and transplant centres.
