About
With a single main centre along Tagore Avenue in Prantika, A-Zone, Durgapur, this 15-bedded eye hospital operates across 16,000 square feet and works alongside four fixed-date partner centres. Established in 2000 under the Lions Club of Durgapur Welfare Trust, it aims to treat eye diseases and tackle preventable blindness across Paschim Bardhaman and neighbouring areas. You can consult doctors for general eye problems, glaucoma, cataracts, and vitreo-retina concerns. The facility is equipped with three operation theatres for anterior segment cases, septic cases, and surgical retina procedures, running tools such as optical coherence tomography, phaco-emulsification machines, biometry, and specular microscopes. Besides eye surgeries, the premises also house a dental clinic and an immunization department. General OPD runs daily, with Dr. Priyanka Patra available Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Several visiting ophthalmologists also conduct dedicated OPD and pay clinics on set weekdays and Sundays.
