Operating from a single primary setup at Aakashdeep Plaza in Golmuri, Jamshedpur, this eye hospital originally started in Patna in November 2002 before shifting to the Steel City in July 2005. It was inaugurated by the then DC of East Singhbhum, Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, bringing both outpatient consultations and an operation theatre under one roof. Over the years, the centre added specialized retina services, introducing retinal detachment surgery, retinal laser treatments, and fundus fluorescein angiography to the locality. The team of specialists includes Director and Chief Consultant Dr. Bibhuti Bhushan, alongside senior consultants Dr. Ankur Bose and Dr. R. K. Mukhopadhyay. Inside the facility, you have access to dedicated outpatient diagnostics including autorefractometers, tonometry, biomicroscopy, and ultrasound A-scan and B-scan. The surgical unit features operating microscopes from Leica and Takagi, as well as phacoemulsification systems for procedures.
